Day 1Video
This used to be my favorite K-pop song, and like I said in my previous review, I had to review this one too. This song is literally frolicking and dancing in the sunshine, rolling around in the grass and flowers, picking flowers and putting them in my hair, holding a little basket while walking into the sunset, and kicking my feet in the grass. All that funny shit. It's just so fucking jolly. I don't even know what the song actually means, but that's exactly how it makes me feel. And the title, Day 1, really does it for me. Day one of anything can be bad or good, but most of the time, day one is the best. You end up missing it and reminiscing about how everything felt that first day. It could literally be your first day trying cheesecake, and maybe this is how it makes you feel. Or you and your crush finally start dating, and it's day one of being together. Everything is new and exciting, and you're just frolicking around being happy. Day one is such a powerful idea because it's the first of something, and everything feels so fucking jolly.

Once again, I don't really like K-pop like that anymore because I kind of grew out of it, but this song just does something for me. It reminds me of this one Red Velvet song that I'm going to review in a little bit. It makes me think of frolicking and dancing in the sunshine, just spinning around in a nice tutu. This song is so fucking jolly.

I love this kind of music. It sounds so magical, like I could just levitate. Her voice, the vocals, everything about this song is so good. I could listen to it over and over again.

I'm rating this three stars because, for me, the guitar strumming is really loud and a little too intense. I love loud music, but I prefer loud bass over loud guitar. That said, I actually like the song. It reminds me a little of a song from the intro of Guardians of the Galaxy, though I can't remember the name, and also of "Creep" by Radiohead. That's probably just where my mind goes with rock and indie music like this. Overall, there's nothing wrong with the song. The guitar is just a bit loud for my taste, but it's still a good song.

I love CANNELLES music and style. She has this unique pop star look that I don't really see outside of K-pop groups. Her fashion is amazing, but it's her music especially that I love.

I love this song so much. New Jack Swing is probably one of my favorite types of music because it's so upbeat and uplifting. I really wish this song were available on all platforms, especially Instagram, so I could use it in my posts. I hate linking music to technology instead of just appreciating and sharing it, but this song is seriously so good and underrated.

Oh my God, when I first heard this song, I really thought it was much older. I originally heard it sampled in a sigilcore mix on SoundCloud, I think it was called "With You Mix," by tenki. The sample was so beautiful that I had to find out where it came from, and that's how I discovered Devin Morrison. His music is immaculate. Even the stuff he does on YouTube, where he comes up with these '80s and '90s-style commercial jingles, sounds incredible. His music is beyond magical and beautiful, his vocals are amazing, and he has such a unique sound. I genuinely don't understand how he isn't a much bigger artist. People take that kind of uniqueness for granted. That's also something I love about sigilcore artists in general. They're so good at finding these beautiful, unusual samples and completely pulling you into them. This song was one of those samples I just couldn't resist tracking down, and I'm so glad it introduced me to Devin Morrison. Everybody on this track sounds incredible.

For me, this song is kind of traumatic and painful to hear. Whenever I hear it, I just get really sad. At first, I didn't like listening to it simply because of how sad it made me feel. More recently, though, around August 25th or maybe a little earlier, I heard that Hayden Panettiere had passed away. I came across an edit of her featuring a photoshoot she'd done a while ago, and seeing it after hearing the news made me incredibly sad. Now my connection to this song feels even heavier than it did before. At the same time, I can actually listen to it now and let myself mourn Hayden. Rest in peace, Hayden Panettiere.

I don't know how this song ended up landing with the British, but they should honestly just claim it as an anthem because it screams British to me. When I first heard it and realized it sampled The Jackson 5, I was like, "How does this go with British people?" But somehow, the two just go together perfectly. This song is so cunty, so runway model, so editorial, just everything good. I love it with my entire heart. I'd make it my alarm if I could.

I really like this song. I can't quite explain what it reminds me of, but it definitely has that Pharrell-produced sound. I swear I've heard something like it before, I just can't place the exact song. Either way, it sounds really nice, and I love the passion BL8XE brings to it. Glad I found this one through TikTok.

I really like the sample, but I'm not too fond of the song itself. I know a lot of the Hispanic community isn't too fond of it either. But you know what's catchy to me? "MY SPANISH IS NOT VERY GOOD LOOOOKINGGGGG.", like i guess girl, celia cruz.

when we were parked up near the station AGAIN waiting for his sister and i was actually zoning out so hard, i thought it was terrible for the first thirty seconds and then it just flipped something in my brain, now i have had it playing on repeat while walking home in the rain and i look like a complete lunatic i swear marcus always finds this weird stuff before anyone else, remember that party last summer where he hijacked the speaker and played that unreleased edit and everyone got annoyed until about five minutes later when everyone was jumping around, he claims he heard this one in some random radio mix from three years ago but he is definitely lying because he only started listening to this kind of sound last month after he went to that night in clapton, actually no maybe he did hear it back then because he used to send me weird links at two in the morning all the time anyway i am sitting on my floor with my headphones full volume just staring at the ceiling, it makes me want to throw my phone across the room and run through a wall, literally cannot focus on anything else right now lol
